1. How Leaders Stay Motivated, Healthy, Balanced, and Stress Free
Some leaders quickly fade under pressure and self-destruct due to work load stress, life imbalance, burnout or illness. A recent national health study has shown stress to be the number one cause of workplace sick leave. This workshop provides tools, tips, techniques, and strategies to maintain high energy, drive, life balance and healthy living while under workload pressure. Participants will learn how to stay self-motivated and energized by: monitoring their daily self-talk, eating habits, using thought substitution, positive affirmation and imagineering sequences. Recent clinical studies from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), mind/body hormone balance and antibody production will also be discussed. You will learn skills to combat stress, sickness, depression and life imbalance. Gain control of overexposure to “energy sappers” in the workplace and at home. Learn how to design healthy thought patterns from the time you wake up in the morning to the time you fall asleep at night. Reprogram your mental core for a positive attitude, high energy and healthy enthusiasm.
2. How to Manage, Reorganize and Hire People Based on Natural Talent and Genetic Skills Matching
A new, very successful management principle is sweeping across organizations. Traditionally organizations have focused on improving weaknesses in people, rather than maximizing personal talent development. This leads to low morale and a decrease in overall team output. In this workshop participants will take a newly released 109 question natural talent and genetic skills test and be trained in how to interpret results and recognize talent in others. Participants will be trained in project task and job matching based on talent and how to reorganize based on talent pool management principles. These principles have been successfully applied in a number of case study organizations which will be used as illustrations. You can improve the performance of any individual, team or group by applying this new system of talent based performance management.
3. Using Business Process Mapping to Improve Workflow Efficiency for Time and Cost Savings
Every organization in today’s economy must seek to improve workflow efficiency. However, for many this seems to be a haphazard, reactive approach of constant firefighting from day-to-day and applying multiple band-aid, quick fixes, rather than a systematic, well planned, foundational approach. This workshop provides an exact method that is scalable from one person’s job workflow to the entire organization’s workflow. It centers on the creation of a detailed “current state” business process map (how things are done now) versus the construction of a “future state” map (how we would like to do things). Once a current state map is carefully constructed, it is analyzed against a master checklist to identify rapid, practical, measurable, cost effective improvements, thus creating the future state map to be worked towards as a strategic goal. These improvements are then laid out in an organized strategic plan of process improvement.
4. Situational Leadership Styles and Profiles- Applying Correct Leadership Styles to People and Situations
There are six basic leadership styles. Each one has specific instances where it is most appropriately applied. You will learn each one as well as discovering your top three. This workshop is highlighted by two different leadership style assessments. The first assessment allows participants to determine how often they use each of the six styles in their daily work. The second assessment shows participants if their most used leadership styles actually match those required by their current job. The workshop illustrates specific situations and types of people where each style should be applied. In practicing this leadership method, conflict is greatly reduced and respect increased. Learn to apply the right style at the right time.
5. How to Save Money and Trim a Budget
The most highly trained staff in any organization are in sales. But…what about people with buying power? If you are in charge of a budget, how much professional purchasing training have you had? This workshop could literally save you thousands of dollars! You will learn simple counter tactics to common sales techniques and essential negotiating skills to help you save money on purchases ranging from a pack of pencils to a new building. You will learn how to: use scaled ranking tables, package purchasing, capping contracts, controlling price increases, saving on shipping, close-outs, use seasonal buying power and more! You can save money everywhere. You just need to know where to look and how to deal. This workshop teaches you exactly that!
6. Strategic Decision Making Skills- Making Hard Decisions Easy!
Do you make decisions on staffing, strategic planning, capital purchases?
One of the most important leadership skills is mastering difficult decisions. This workshop provides the necessary tools of strategic decision making. You will learn how to: gain full participation in group decisions with individual ranking cards, when to use majority voting and when not to, how to use mind mapping to generate creative choices and get people thinking out of the box. You will also learn how to narrow choices with feasibility testing, risk analysis, cost analysis, interdepartmental impact and consumer impact analysis. If you make decisions and sometimes struggle, this workshop will provide you with confidence to make hard decisions easy.
